Los Angeles News

Here’s what’s happening:

🚈 LAX People Mover Faces Delays. The airport train won’t be ready until mid-2026. This is three years late and $880M over budget. A report blames tension between Los Angeles World Airports and contractor LINXS. Officials still hope it’ll be ready for the 2026 World Cup. (LAist)

🅿️ More Expensive Street Parking. L.A. City Council voted 10-0 to raise parking meter rates by 50%. This is the first increase in 10 years. Meters will also run until midnight in busy areas. The changes could bring in $14.4 million annually. The start date hasn’t been announced. (KTLA)
