👋 Women's Day, Hot Chicken, and Meetups
March 5–March 11, 2026, news, food, and events in the Valley (and beyond).

The Mystery Machine. Solving a mystery in Toluca Lake.
Welcome to your weekly San Fernando Valley update: March 5–March 11, 2026.
In this week’s NoHo Nick:
👋 Groups and Meetups
🚺️ Women’s Day
🐔 Hot Chicken
🏃 Exercise Clubs
There are so many clubs and meetups across the Valley.
Dungeons and Dragons, chess, sewing, writer's groups, you name it.
Yesterday, I launched a "Groups & Meetups" hub to make it easier to find like-minded folks.
Run a local group? Add it to the list. Help me fill it up!
Every week, I'll spotlight ongoing meetups in this newsletter.
Think of it as an alternative to Meetup.com. No fees for hosts and a simple way to discover what's happening.
(Just don't tell anyone about my secret tabletop gaming meetup…)
