Wildfires, like the Post Fire about 50 miles north of LA, have brought ash and smoke to the Valley this week.

This marked the end of an era for one of the most famous roads in the United States​.

News

  • 🏦 Many local services like the library, post office, and banks are closed Thursday, July 4th for the holiday. They will reopen Friday, July 5th.

  • 🔥 The 15,000 acre Post Fire that’s been blowing smoke and ash into the Valley is 90% contained. No injuries related to the fire have been reported. It’s one of the bigger wildfires this season, burning about 11,000 football fields of land 50 miles north of the Valley.

  • 🍜 Vui VeNorth Hollywood: Vietnamese sandwiches and noodles. Grab a bánh mì and a strong cup of coffee. Just opened in May.
