Welcome to your bite-sized Valley update for Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Did you know there’s a big new construction project planned for North Hollywood near the metro B-line station? It was approved in March.

The project will add 1,500 apartments, restaurants, office space, art galleries, and metro access over the next 15 years. The goal is to make NoHo more friendly to public transit.

News

• ☀️ Temperatures climb to 100+ degrees in parts of the Valley this weekend. Wear sunscreen!

• ⛰️ Some events for the Olympics are moving to the SFV. BMX and skateboarding contests will be held in Sherman Oaks in 2028.

• 🌲 Outdoor Summer Concerts (NoHo): Rock and pop cover bands, food trucks. Bring a lawn chair. Free - Every Saturday until August.

• 🧹 Volunteer Clean-Up (Topanga Cyn): Make new friends and pick up trash in community clean-up. Free - June 27 @ 8 AM.
