It's a special week (and not because Toy Story 5 is getting released).

It's NoHo Nick's 2nd birthday!

The very first newsletter went out on June 20, 2024. Two years later, and thousands of you are here.

To celebrate, I'm sharing something I've been building.

🌴 SFV Local is a new hub for the San Fernando Valley.

You may have used the site before, but I've rebuilt it from the ground up.

Events, Businesses, Jobs, and (nearly) everything happening across the Valley.

I've been quietly chipping away at this since launch six months ago. I hope it helps you feel even more connected to your community as it continues to grow.

Cheers, and thanks for the support of NoHo Nick.

🗣️ Community shoutout: Shoutout to the people who paint the murals on electrical boxes around town.

This week’s newsletter is sponsored by the Los Angeles Cineverse Film Festival:

🎬 FilmmakersSubmit your film to this festival:

The 7th annual LA International Cineverse Film Festival will screen the best shorts, feature films, and music videos created by local filmmakers in September.

The deadline to submit your film is July 1.

The festival is IMDb-certified. Meaning, you can add the festival to your official profile if it’s selected.

Every filmmaker gets their own Q&A session to share the journey of creating their film. Projects aren’t crammed into long programming blocks.

The deadline to submit is July 1. The festival is Saturday, September 19, at Eastwood Theater (East Hollywood).

PPS Someone asked me if my NoHo Nick drawing is AI. It’s not! My wife drew it. And it’s exactly what I look like in real life.
