🌧️ Halloween, Yoga, and a Flood
October 16–October 22, 2025, news, food, and events in the Valley (and beyond).
Welcome to your weekly San Fernando Valley update: October 16–22, 2025.
In this week’s NoHo Nick:
🎃 Halloween
⛈️ Rain
🛍️ Pop-Up Markets
🪴 Gardening
This week, I learned that the “Valley Girl” stereotype started as a joke.
In 1982, Frank Zappa and his daughter wrote a song, ‘Valley Girl’, after his daughter started mocking teenagers at the local mall.
It accidentally made “like, totally” and “fer sure” part of pop culture forever.
Reader Love: “Found you on TikTok. This is my first newsletter from you and it’s fantastic! Such a wonderful resource. Thank you!!”—Natalie

💎 Jewelry Studio Party (North Hollywood)
Ceci Greco, a local handmade jewelry brand, opens its studio to celebrate 2 years in business.

The last Ceci Greco party I went to.
Self-guided tour, new jewelry pieces, drinks, bites, and a lively artist community.
Free. Friday, October 17, at Ceci Greco Studio, from 6 PM to 9 PM.
I went to Ceci’s last party and met many of my neighbors!
