🎉 Community shoutout: Shoutout to people who leave extra free time on the parking meters for the next person to use.

⚾️ Dodgers to visit the White House. The Dodgers will visit the White House on April 7 to celebrate their 2024 World Series win. Manager Dave Roberts, who previously hesitated to visit D.C., called it a “great honor” regardless of who the president is. (ESPN)

🚗 L.A. loses millions enforcing parking tickets. Los Angeles is spending tens of millions more on parking enforcement than it brings in through parking fines. (Crosstown)

⚾️ Dodgers Opening Day: This weekend, the Dodgers play their first three home games of the 2025 MLB season against the Detroit Tigers. To watch the games, find a Dodgers bar in the SFV. Game one is Thursday, March 27, at 4:10 PM. See the schedule for the other games.

🧙‍♂️ Magic the Gathering Meetup (Burbank): Weekly Magic: The Gathering nights in a casual, welcoming setting. Great for beginners or seasoned players. $5 to play and access Geeky Teas’s 700+ board game library. Thursday, March 27, at 7 PM.

🚶‍♀️ Studio City Walking Meetup (Studio City): Join the Urbanish Adventurists for a ~5-mile evening walk through Studio City. Help organizer Lori reach her 10,000-step goal! Meet at North Weddington Recreation Center. Bring water, comfy shoes, and a good attitude. Socialize and meet neighbors. Free. Thursday, March 27, at 7 PM.

🧹 Toluca Lake Community Cleanup (Toluca Lake): Meet your neighbors and help beautify the area during this monthly cleanup hosted by the Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce. Volunteers gather outside Priscilla’s Gourmet Coffee before walking the streets to clean sidewalks and driveways. Saturday, March 29, at 7:45 AM.

⚔️ Medieval Weapons Training (North Hollywood): Learn sword fighting with a 30-year veteran weapons master at Valley Village Park. All levels welcome—emphasis on authentic technique, core strength, and chivalry. Sign the waiver beforehand. $20. Sunday, March 30, at 9:30 AM.

🥖 (New) Superba Cafe (Calabasas): Equal parts bakery, café, and neighborhood meet-up spot. Bump into someone you know or make a new friend at Superba. With locations already in Pasadena and North Hollywood, Superba is expanding to Calabasas: ribbon cutting, champagne, and light bites for the first guests. Grand opening Friday, March 28, at 4 PM.

🍷 Monthly Wine Membership (DTLA): Discover rare and global wines curated by local wine bar and bistro, Garçons de Café. Monthly memberships are $55 for two bottles or $110 for four.

🍷 California Wine Festival (Coming Soon): World-class wines with ocean views at this festival on the coast. Near Laguna Beach. 250+ wines, craft beer, gourmet food vendors, and live bands. Tickets start at $90 and include food and drink samples. Friday, April 25, at 6:30 PM. 

🧀 A Cheeto shaped like a Charizard Pokémon sold for $90,000.

🎤 125 people filed FCC complaints for Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl show. One viewer said, “It is tiresome to send children out of the room during what should be a family event.”

🚲️ LA’s Critical Mass is America’s largest community bike ride—held on the last Friday of every month in Central LA.

❓️Which national restaurant chain, famous for its 250+ menu items, was founded in Beverly Hills in 1978?
