🚓 145 vehicles recovered in Van Nuys 'bandit towing’ case. LAPD announced the recovery of cars allegedly stolen by a Van Nuys towing company. The company is accused of impounding without cause and charging high recovery fees. (ABC7)

🎨 New artist studios and residencies coming soon to North Hollywood. Studio spaces with 24-hour access, gallery openings, professional development opportunities, and light-filled workspaces specifically designed for artists, makers, and creative businesses. Artists and Makers Studios.

💰 California’s top 1% requires $905k+ annually. To be in California’s top 1% of earners, you now need a household income of at least $905,396, according to a new study. That’s the third-highest threshold in the country, behind Connecticut and Massachusetts. The national average to join the 1% is $731,000. (Secret LA)

🎭 A Midsummer Night’s Dream (North Hollywood): Bardfly Theatre Co. brings Shakespeare’s magical comedy to a beer garden. Faeries, mischief, and wood-fired pizza. First-come, first-served. $15. Friday, July 25, at 7 PM at Lawless Brewing.

⚽ Saturday Soccer Pickup (Chatsworth): Early risers can join a friendly, all-skill-level soccer match at Chatsworth Arena Soccer League. No cleats. Turf or tennis shoes. $10. Saturday, July 26, at 7 AM at 9006 Independence Ave.

🌿 Nature Journaling (Burbank): Join this free adult program to learn about nature journaling and plant identification. Saturday, July 26, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Stough Canyon Nature Center.

🦁 Reggae on the Mountain (Topanga): Julian Marley & The Uprising headline this all-day reggae fest with Sister Nancy, Marlon Asher, Arise Roots, DJs, food, and more. Saturday, July 26, at the Topanga Community Club.

🎬 Movie Night: The Big Lebowski (North Hollywood): Watch the cult classic outdoors. Food truck on site, drinks and snacks available. First-come, first-served seating. All ages. $10 (includes chair rental). Saturday, July 26, at 8 PM at Lawless Brewing.

🎃 Spooky Saturday Pop-Up (Granada Hills): Halloween comes early at Ghoulish Delights with local vendors like Stephie’s Doodles, Bumble Stitch, Jackie’s Baked Goods, and Satan’s Treasures. Spooky-cute crafts, treats, and cozy fall vibes. Free. Saturday, July 26, from 10 AM to 5 PM at 17535 Chatsworth St.

🧟 Zombie Stunt Show (North Hollywood): A film fundraiser at Unfriendly Studios. Live DJ, zombie stunt show, themed drinks, creepy snacks, and immersive horror theatrics. $45. July 26 and 27, from 5 PM to 10 PM.

🛼 Ozzy Osbourne Tribute Skate Night (Glendale): Skate, scream, and celebrate the Prince of Darkness with loud music, flashing lights, and all of Ozzy’s greatest hits. Heavy metal roller disco. $23. Friday, August 1, from 8 PM to 11 PM at Moonlight Rollerway.

🕰️ Back to the Future Celebration (Van Nuys): Celebrate four decades of Hill Valley with cast appearances, live music by The Flux Capacitors, movie cars, props, and a live performance of “Earth Angel” by Marvin Berry himself. GA starts at $55. Saturday, August 2, from 6 PM to 11 PM at Valley Relics Museum.

🚚 Food Truck Fridays (Burbank): 30 food trucks line Magnolia Blvd on the last Friday of each month, with eats stretching from Hollywood Way to Catalina Street. Come hungry and support local shops, bakeries, and restaurants. Free. Friday, July 25, from 6 PM to 9 PM.

🥗 Goop Kitchen Opening (Sherman Oaks): Gwyneth Paltrow’s clean-eating brand opens its newest location in Sherman Oaks, bringing bowls, salads, and wraps to the middle of the Valley. I recently tried the gluten-free pizza, and it’s delicious.

🦖 Jurassic Park in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Movie screening with a live score performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic. August 8 and 9.

Victory Caffe is a cozy, family-owned breakfast spot in Van Nuys serving handcrafted coffee, vegan burritos, and fresh pastries.

Their vegan green burrito has tofu, black beans, kale, vegan cheese, guacamole, and vegan chipotle mayo.

🍑 The Toluca Lake Farmers Market is finally reopening on August 31.

🍟 PepsiCo is rebranding its popular Lay’s and Tostitos chips to remove artificial dyes and flavors.

🤠 The original ‘Toy Story’ is coming back to movie theaters on September 12.

🐶 Idyllwild (2 hours east of LA) has a golden retriever for mayor—Mayor Max III.

❓️ Griffith Park is named after a famous Angeleno. Mr. Griffith made his fortune as a gold miner and ostrich farmer. What was his first name?
