Trunk or Treat

🎃 Trunk or Treat with Classic Cars (North Hollywood): Costumes, classic car displays, candy, and a beer garden. Family-friendly Halloween night. Browse vintage cars while the kids collect treats and the adults grab a beer. Free. Friday, October 24, from 6 PM to 9:30 PM at Victorios Ristorante.

🎃 Winnetka Chamber's 4th Annual Trunk or Treat (Winnetka): Celebrate Halloween with costume contests, games, candy, and prizes at this family-friendly community gathering. Free. Saturday, October 26, from 3 PM to 6 PM, at the Winnetka Bowl Parking Lot.

🕸️ Trunk-Or-Treat at the Museum (Northridge): Head to the Museum of the San Fernando Valley for an all-ages Halloween event. Magic shows, music, a costume contest, and lots of candy. Trunk-or-treat setups, games, and live entertainment. Free. October 31, from 5 PM to 8 PM at 18904 Nordhoff St.

Día de los Muertos

🤼 Día de los Muertos Wrestling (Sylmar): Sylmar's first-ever lucha libre show. Mexican luchadores, lucha-inspired vendors, and a presentation like no other in the Valley. Masks, mayhem, and Día de los Muertos celebration. Family-friendly. $24. Saturday, October 25, at 6 PM at Palacio Torres Banquet Hall.

💀 Día de los Muertos at Black Thumb Farm (Panorama City): Live music, food, and hands-on activities. Climate, agriculture, and culture. Celebrating joy as a form of resistance and empowering BIPOC teens to grow healthy produce. Family-friendly. Free. Food and raffle tickets for sale. Saturday, October 25, from 10 AM to 2 PM at Black Thumb Farm.

💀 Rancho de los Muertos (Sunland): Forget Hollywood Forever. This Día de los Muertos party at Gibson Ranch brings live music, food, tequila, and actual horses. Plus, a parade and costume contest. Experience the real deal. $30 advance, $35 door. Saturday, November 1, from 3 PM to 11 PM, at Gibson Ranch.

💀 El Valle Eterno (Sylmar): Midnight Hour Records and the SFV Historical Society host this all-ages celebration at Pioneer Memorial Cemetery. Spooky crafts, live music from Cruel Reflections and DJ Ari Love, Aztec dancers, altars, photo booths, and food vendors. All proceeds benefit the San Fernando Valley Historical Society. Free, all ages. Friday, November 1, 2–9 PM at Pioneer Memorial Cemetery.

🌕 Moonlight Mystic Market (San Fernando): Tarot, astrology readings, energy healers, magical vendors, and free community workshops at this spiritual night market. There’s also an ofrenda altar and raffle prizes. $5. Sunday, November 2, from 2 PM to 8 PM at 757 North Huntington St.

Dog-Friendly

🐕 Halloween Dog Parade (Sherman Oaks): This family-run tradition celebrates 10+ years with a casual dog parade. Costumes are optional, and soft serve ice cream is included. Bring your pup for a neighborhood stroll and sweet treats. Free. Sunday, October 26, from 5 PM to 6 PM at the corner of Hesby St & Cedros Ave.

🐕 Mutt Strut (Valley Glen): Tonga Hut's dog parade. Vendors arrive at noon, so come early for tiki drinks and a dog costume contest. Two “strut” times. RSVP. Sunday, October 26, at 2 PM and 4 PM.

🐾 Dog Costume Contest & Fundraiser (North Hollywood): Bring your pup in costume. Trick-or-treating for dogs, a costume contest, and a fundraiser for Pups Without Borders, a local dog rescue. 21+. Free. Monday, October 27, from 6 PM to 9 PM, at Idle Hour.

🐾 Toluca Lake Community Howl (Toluca Lake): The annual Halloween dog parade features costume contests, goodie bags, vendor booths, a group walk, and a photo backdrop in the neighborhood famous for its over-the-top decorations. Adoptable pups from i5 Freedom Ride will be on-site. Free. Thursday, October 30, at 5 PM at Logix Bank.

🐕 NoHo DooDoo Pet Parade (North Hollywood): The 17th annual Halloween pet parade kicks off at 6 PM—dress up your pet and walk around the block, ending with a group photo at the fire hydrant. A NoHo tradition for nearly two decades. Free. Friday, October 31, 6 PM at the corner of Willowcrest & Huston.
