In case you missed it, there’s a new Fast & Furious rollercoaster opening at Universal Studios.

For weeks, nearby residents of Toluca Lake have complained that riders are screaming too loudly.

First, the park agreed to install new sound barriers. Didn’t help.

Then, they added gravel around the track to dampen the sound. Didn’t work.

The 72mph coaster kept generating more and more noise complaints.

This week, Universal Studios agreed to install two more large sound barriers as a final measure.

I spoke with one resident who said, “It don’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning’s winning.”
