Fun fact about me?

I’ve never seen the Star Wars movies.

I’ve watched a few episodes of The Mandalorian and probably seen some lightsaber battles on late-night TV.

But I’ve never sat down to watch the movies from beginning to end.

This weekend, I’m going to try to catch up to the rest of humanity by watching Episode IV - A New Hope.

🗣️ Community shoutout: Shoutout to Whitney S. (Sherman Oaks), who won a free month of boxing classes from For Those Who Have Heart in last week’s giveaway.

Trivia

❓️ What is considered to be the most haunted place in Los Angeles?

Last week’s question: Who popularized the Valley Girl slang, “Gag me with a spoon?”

Answer: The phrase was popularized by Frank Zappa and his teenage daughter Moon Unit with their 1982 hit song "Valley Girl." Moon Unit delivered a spoken-word monologue over the track mimicking the slang from the San Fernando Valley, including the phrase “gag me with a spoon.”

Thanks for reading! See you next week.
